A perfect outing

This is me at Dico's during my blissful $30 evening. That included: taxi rides to and from Walmart, a pair of shoes, a fuzzy blanket, a bath rug, and a bottle of wine, supper at Dico's, and hours and hours to myself, with nobody else who spoke English within sight. It was soooo nice. I was tired of meetings, and people, and having to be something that I'm not really--an adult!
I just loved the feeling of independence, and self-sufficiency, really. I was tired of feeling as if I knew nothing, and depended on other people for anything I needed. I got to walmart on my own, found my way around the absurdity of the 3 story store, found shoes that were almost big enough for me, tried on a few shirts that were invariably too tight(--Asian women are small), found some other things to buy, and then left walmart and went to Dico's, which is apparently a Taiwan based fast food chicken place--much like KFC. Then I went home, switched on Will and Grace, and spent a quiet evening relaxing. Yay for life.

Now, the next day I freaked out at life, but that's ok. I'm over all that now. That COULD have something to do with a happy pill I took this morning.

This is what I spend my spare time with. They are my beeest friends. Woot!

If u had fun, I guess that is all that counts, but personally, that does not sound like fun to me... good luck with learning Chinese... have fun with that.

yes, but graham, if you were around all sorts of people all the time who didn't really know who you were, and then you got a chance to go somewhere and be by yourself for a little while, and do something you absoulutely loved, it would be nice. . .trust me.

when u put it in that light, yeah, that would be cool, but as it is, mom and dad would have a fit if I was ever my own person. I asked if I could take my pasport out the other day to buy the matrix with it, and mom was like, "well, I don't know, you know, if u loose it, u will be staying here" and I was thinking, dude! I am supposed to be a responsible adult in another 5 months, and I can't even take care of my own pasport! I am going to have to deal with credit cards and drivers licences and all that jazz without any prior experience... supposedly they know best...scarry, huh?

wait. . .what do you mean, you're going to be a responsible adult in 5 months? how old are you? and why did you need your passport to buy the matrix? i almost bought that the other day actually. . .it was less than a dollar--just like all the other movies. . .oh, such a happy world.
credit cards are a pain. i didn't get one till January though. it's hard to remember that you have to actually pull the money out of your bank account later. I suggest that you start practicing with a budget now, while you are still young. That might help you avoid all the horrible stuff I've gone through (i still haven't figured it out. . .but I'm planning to with my first paycheck).
Don't worry, you get to pave the way for your younger siblings with your parents. They'll let go, it'll just take a while. It's as hard for them, as it is for you. Trust me on that one.

key word there was supposed. I am supposed to be a responsible adult in another 5 months. I will turn 18 on January 31. I will still be in Yemen finishing my senior year of highschool and all that. I will definately not going to learn to be resonsible durring this time. I am surprised that my parents haven't given up on me and thrown me out, I've been enough trouble...

I needed my pasport to buy the matrix because it is R rated and u need to be 17 or older to buy M rated games and R rated movies, and they won't just believe you, u need some kind of id. I got it for 10$ here. Maybe I should come to china... But on second thought I can get it in yemen for 50 cents...

so then why would you buy it there? you're only there for a few more days anyways, right?
what you find in Yemen is probably the same as what you find in China.
and don't you have any sort of driver's permit or any other sort of ID besides your passport? that's crazy. well, back to my class now.

yeah, well, u know me, ecentric to the last... Also, I wanted the orriginal real thing, I didn't want a rip off crammed into 700 megs in a flimsy paper jewel slip...no good. Plus, dad would wring my neck if he caught me pirating stuf.
